Ovaj džemat, kao osnovni dio Islamskog Centra Gazihusrevbeg, je osnovan 11. oktobra 2001. godine, u maloj garaži, u ulici Florian, u gradu Hamtramck. On je bio izraz narastajuće potrebe Bošnjaka u ovom dijelu savezne države Michigan za adekvatnim vjerskim organizovanjem.

Mektebska nastava je temelj svakog dzemata ,pa tako i nase zajednice.U skolskoj 2024/25 je upisano 95 polaznika , a istu redovno pohada od 40 do 60 polaznika. Nastava se izvodi petkom i nedjeljom a podjeljena je u tri kategorijei to :Kur'an, Sufara i Ilmihal (od 1 do 3). Osim imama, u radu mektebske nastave ucestvuju i dvije strucne k

Osim imama, u radu mektebske nastave ucestvuju i dvije strucne kordinatorice Hatidza Medic i Umihana Dedic, koje svojim radom daju veliki doprinos i cine da nastava bude sto kvalitetnija.Koliko god je vazno da nasa djeca zavrse dobre fakultete i budu ugledi gradani u americkom drustvu ,jos je vaznije da svojoj djeci obezbijedimo adekvatno vjersko obrazovanje, i saljemo ih redovno na mektebsku nastavu.Ovo je timski rad kako imama i kordinatora,tako roditelja i djece.Neka nas Uzviseni Stvoritelj u tome pomogne Amin!
